PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To implement the wellness programme through preventative initiatives and awareness

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides health and wellness education information consistent with all relevant professional Standards through bulletin boards, contribution to the newsletter, group & individual engagement facilitates & promotes healthy living to employees and the community.
Implements wellness initiatives by Organising and facilitating seminars and presentations, evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of the wellness initiatives, and recommending appropriate action.
Promotes behavioral change to minimize wellness risks
Provides counseling and support to employees and the community.
Provides support, skills development, motivation, and performance evaluations of peer educators.
Analyses referred cases from Peer Educators and take appropriate action

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates and monitors the implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs in area of responsibility taking cognisance of all legal requirements
Implements knowledge management principles through the application of tools and methodologies to continuously improve and sustain business performance
Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve and sustain business performance
Establishes and maintains Business Partner relationships with all key stakeholders to facilitate the optimal functioning of the functional area

EDUCATION

Diploma in Health or Wellness Related Discipline

EXPERIENCE

3 years post qualification experience in a health promotion environment

LEGAL CERTIFICATION/PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana
