SUSTAINABILITY OFFICER

REPORTS TO: Environmental Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Responsible to develop and implement occupational health and safety programs and waste management plans. The successful candidate will also conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the business. They will be expected to carry out administration tasks and assist the Environmental Manager with record-keeping, data entry, and filing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma in Safety Health b Environment, environmental science, or a related field.
Certification in occupational health and safety and/ or waste management.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety and waste management.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
Proficiency in using relevant software and technology to collect, analyse and report data.
Physical fitness to perform waste management tasks that may involve heavy lifting and other physical activities.
