SOUS CHEF
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sous chef is responsible to assist the Head chef and the Executive chef with overall kitchen operation as a successful independent profile center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, through planning, organizing, directing, and in the management of the kitchen operations and administration. They should exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. Also assists in supervising all kitchen areas to ensure consistency and that high-quality product is produced.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Certificate of cooking and culinary by a recognized institution
Certificate in Food and Beverage by a recognised institution
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a senior position preferably in a remote environment
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a five-star fine dining kitchen
Minimum 3 contactable references
