To provide, facilitate and corrdinate training programmes.

Key Job Responsibilities

Analyses the sectional area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
Allocates trainees to various sections for on the job and experiential training, monitors progress and makes recommendations
Analyses trainee results achieved to identify trends and problem areas and develops plans and takes remedial action
Contributes to the development of the national curriculum by participating in government training advisory committees and workshops
Designs and presents theoretical-practical training courses
Designs, sets and marks exercises, tests and examinations to assess progress at each level of certification, advancement or termination of training and makes recommendations to line management
Develops training matrices for various categories of trainees
Establishes and conducts training needs analysis and detailed objectives in specific disciplines by assessing systems, processes and individual development plans and makes recommendations to management
Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of training and development programmes and takes corrective action
Liaises with appropriate training and government institutions i.e. (TAC, BOTA) to ensure compliance to legal requirements
Prepares training aids, lecture notes, modes, presentation, demonstrations and videos in line with approved standards
Reviews training programme in area of responsibility, taking cognizance of new technology, methods and modifications and make recommendations
Compiles statistics to update training record in order to update departmental and mine training database

Other Job Responsibilities

Adheres to all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in area of responsibility


Diploma in Social Sciences or Business Administration


2 years or more post-qualification experience in the relevant field

Legal Certification/Professional Registration

Registration with BQA
