SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER Full-time Job

VACANCY 

We are recruiting an experienced and qualified finance professional for an exciting and challenging opportunity in Maun on behalf of one of our clients. Our client is a luxury hospitality operator that is seeking to augment its current senior team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight and direction of the finance function. Key responsibilities will include oversight and coordination of all financial tasks and operations; budget and forecast preparation, implementation, and monitoring; treasury management; monthly management reporting; financial statement preparation; and Board and shareholder reporting. The role is full-time and based in Maun. Botswana.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (CPA. ACCA or CGMA)

Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years post-qualified senior financial management experience in the hospitality or other relevant industries

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Financial Reporting including month-end & year-end reporting | Ensure timely year-end and month-end closure and oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory accounts.

Accounting Processes | Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processing and management.

Budgets & Forecasts | Preparation of cash flow forecasts, annual company budgets, and quarterly forecasts.

Financial Planning & Analysis | Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making.

Tax Compliance | Preparation and timely submission of all company tax returns including tax planning and adherence to local regulatory requirements.

Treasury Management | Oversee the business’s cash flow and liquidity, including working capital management and investments.

Financial Management Systems & Processes | Implementation of financial controls, processes, and policies.

Risk Management | Identify and evaluate financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate or manage those risks.

Compliance | Ensure the business meets all statutory and compliance obligations (i.e. tax. accounting, legal, permits, licenses)
