SECURITY ADVISOR

Job Summary:
Implements the Security quality assurance programme in accordance with set governanceprotocols and principles.

Key Activities:

Analyses the mini business unit area’s financial needs to develop a budget andensuressufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
Manages and controls allocated funds and operates within approved parameters.
Interprets and develops the Security Management strategy in line with theMCMStrategic Business Plan.
Develops and manages the implementation of the investigations and Intelligenceframework taking cognizance of the MCM corporate governance principles andlegal
requirements.
Coordinates and manages the implementation of the MCM security initiatives relatingtocompany assets and product protection and security risk management.
Conducts ongoing security risks and trends analysis for MCM and takes appropriateaction to maximize protection of assets and product.
Implements Security Emergency Response Plans, Crisis Response Plans, and DisasterRecovery Plans.

Develops security maintenance plans in accordance with security systems standards.

Defines Security System requirements to mitigate vulnerability and risks.
Manages the development and implementation of security system backup routines anddisaster recovery plan.
Coordinates the deployment of security systems, evaluates the effectiveness andefficiencies to ensure optimal utilization and availability in accordance with approvedprotocols.
Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporategovernance principles/requirements.
Manages and coordinates the implementation of safety, health and environmental
programme in area of responsibility.
Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improveandsustain business performance.

Manages the implementation of the talent management initiatives in area of responsibilityby ensuring the right competence and effectiveness of manpower (capacity building)through developing and implementing career, succession, training and development plans.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partnerstoensure achievement of business objectives. Minimum Education & Experience

Requirements:

Higher National Diploma/Degree in Security Risk Management or equivalent.
6 years post qualification experience in a security management environment or highvalue asset-based company.
Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001 and 45001)
