SALES & MARKETING KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER (1 POSITION)

Wearecurrently lookingforaKeyAccountsManagerforSales&Marketingtobepartofour client teamwhere successful candidate will be reportingtotheChief MarketingOfficer. ThepositionwillbebasedwithinEastAfrica,with main office based in Arusha, Tanzania.

ROLE’S SUMMARY

The incumbent will be responsible to drive business demand; build trade relationships (predominantly within East Africa); as well as create brand awareness for the Legendary Expeditions Safari Camps & Lodges.

KEY RESULTS AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ø AnalysisofEastAfricanbusiness:settingoftargets,producingrevenuereportsbednighttoshowmonthly businesstrends.

Ø Maintaining CRM database (Zoho/Salesforce) to ensure all contacts, notes and pertinent information are uploaded.

Ø Managingratesandcontractsforworldwidepartners.

Ø Create,analyze,andmanageanannualbudget,weeklyandmonthlysalesactivityreports

Ø Arrange sales missionstoAfricanpartnersforthepurposeofproductknowledgetrainingandrelationship building.

Ø Workingcloselywiththesalesandreservationteamtoensuretheyareupdatedonkeysalesmessages andpromotions.

Ø Organizing educational trips to the Clients Safari Camps and Lodges, managing all arrangements as needed,withtheabilitytohost(whenrequired).

Ø Attendingtradefairs(withinEastAfricaandbeyond)andmanagingallarrangementspertainingtothis (Stand, Travel,Accommodation,Budget).

Ø Organizing product training for the sales and reservations team with partners whose properties are used through the Client DMC.

Ø LiaisewithClassicPortfolioandPerowneInternationalwhererelevant:providinginputforsalesmeetings andprovidingdirectiononwhichpartnerstotarget.

Ø Conducting site inspections and meeting global partners who are staying at, or visiting the safari lodges and camps.

Ø Performingadministrativefunctionspertainingtosalesandmarketing,aswellasreservations,operations and revenue management (whererequired)

Ø Creatingpresentationstailoredtosuittheaudience/meetingthatisbeingcommunicatedto.

Ø Abilitytotravelfrequently,shoulditberequired,andforextendedperiodsoftime.

Ø AssisttheChiefMarketingOfficertocompletingtasksandresponsibilitiesrelatedtothedepartment.

Ø Buildingasolidsalesstrategy,inlinewithdepartmentalandcompanyobjectives,andensuringthe attainmentofrevenuebudgets;buildingofbrandawareness;andensuringstrongstrategicpartnershipsare cultivated andmatured.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS

Education:

Ø Diploma inTourism and/or relevant course.

Ø Anadvancedlevelofcomputerliteracywithspecialfocusonhospitalitydatausesystems,aswellas, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint andOutlook.

Ø A valid driver’slicense.

Experience and Skills:

Ø A minimum of 5 years international luxury hospitality brand sales and marketing management industry experience,whereaformerseniorrolewasheldconsecutivelyinonecompanyformorethan18months.

Ø Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders,guests and staff in all situations.

Ø Techsavvy/computerliterate(abletoworkcomfortablywithMSOffice,experienceinpresentation softwaresuchasZoomandhostingonlinemeetings,Zoho1anddatabasemanagement).

Ø Haveanin-depthunderstandingofbrandstrategyandhowtoeffectivelycommunicatethistothemarket.

Ø Fullyliterateandnumeratewiththeabilitytoperformrelevantcalculations,statistics,andbeableto interpretbasicaccountsandfinancialstatementsandreports.

Ø Theabilitytomultitaskandprioritizewhileworkingonmultipleprojects,teamplayerwhodemonstrates theabilitytobuildanddevelopasuccessfulteam.

Ø Flexiblewithabilitytoworkthroughperiodsofhighdemandincludingweekends.

Ø Assertiveness,patience and good organizational skills.
