PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Main Purpose of the Job

Responsible for coordinating, organising, and controlling the procurement of goods and services to meet the FGH’s requirements in the most cost-effective manner.

Key performance Areas

Identifies, selects, and vets service providers, as well as suppliers.
Plans and prioritises purchasing activities by Fairground Holdings.
Coordinates the requisition and approval process.
Coordinates the supplier management program, including contracts, MOD’S, and SLA’s.
Develops the procurement I supplier management policies and
procedures.
Ensures compliance to procurement policies and procedures, as well as, to relevant standards with respect to all procurement activities.
Coordinates the disposal of obsolete, redundant and scrap items.
Provides secretarial services to the Board Tender Committee.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Professional Supply Chain Qualification such as CIPS or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience in a supply chain environment.
