OPERATIONS MANAGER

Kwena Rocla (Pty) Ltd, a leading precast manufacturing company invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Operations Manager. This position will report to the Chairman of the Kwena Rocla Board.

Key Responsibilities:

Effective and complete running of production, mechanical, technical, industrial relations, safety and the training of employees of the Company, including;
Business strategy planning, inclusive of budgeting and alignment, risk management
Production/operations planning and management of actual results vs the budget
Manage the efficient response in respect of business and operational contingencies
Proactively implement effective business-, team-, and individual performance management across the business
Implement & maintain a “Zero Harm” safety strategy across all levels of the business.
Ensure compliance with set the Quality Management Policy. Manage relations with the third party
compliance bodies.
Ensure good corporate governance and effective financial compliance of the business.
Improvement of operational excellence – productivity, efficiency, and overall cost-effectiveness

Key Requirements:

A high level of understanding of and competence in:
Operations management pertaining to all functions of the business
Labor relations
HSE management
Computer literacy; a sound knowledge of JD Edwards ERP, MS-Projects
Supervisory & leadership skills
Interaction with all stakeholders at all levels within and outside of the organization
Strategic management of resources
Innovative thinking
Work Experience and Knowledge

The suitable candidate must have:

A proven record of 15 years in the operations management of a precast concrete factory
Appropriate production-related qualification or background
B Com or equivalent business qualification will be an advantage
