Job Title: Technician – CCTV , Surveillance and Access Control Systems (LUSAKA / KITWE)
This position will be responsible will be responsible for installation, termination and configuration, with or without direct supervision, of surveillance and access control devices, such as: card readers, request to exits, electrified door hardware, access control panels, analog and IP cameras, camera servers (NVR), power supplies, cable pathway systems and various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, low voltage cable and coax. These installations are primarily performed in new construction, but may also include retro fits.
Desired Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma / Degree Certificate
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant / other similar experience.
- Possess mechanical and computer skills;
- Willingness to work days, nights and weekends, as needed;
- Carry and climb ladders as needed;
- Maintain a safe work environment;
- Two-wheeler driving a must. Provide a valid driver’s license;
- Flexible to work beyond the working hours with Extensive travelling to different locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install various access control devices;
- Program access control panels and systems;
- Install and program various CCTV; analog and IP cameras;
- Install and program various types of NVRs and VMS;
- Install cable pathway systems;
- Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables;
- Ability to Basic troubleshoot, do installation, maintenance and service repair to component level using basic test equipment on designated equipment independently.
- To Work as a Team Player to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area along with maintaining highest level of Company Integrity.
- To prepare Daily Call Reports, update Attendance, capture Product Complaints, capture Opportunities.
- Ability to work independently with Good interpersonal skills – Self-starter and Self-motivated with Good communication, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain & align with Safety and/or other applicable regulatory requirements for all mandatory certifications.
