Senior Human Resource Officer Jobs at Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) February, 2024

Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, established by Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Act, 2016. The Institute is mandated to: “Undertake research and training services for sustainable conservation and management of Uganda’s wildlife resources.’’

 

Job Summary:  The Senior Human Resource Officer Enforces Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Institute Human Resources Management and administrative systems and performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Director in conformity with the laid down procedures of Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the implementation and revision of the Institute Human Resources Management policies.
  • Carries out Monitoring and evaluation of appropriate performance management systems for the Institute.
  • Executes interventions that promote equal opportunity, gender mainstreaming that promote the welfare of staff and students in the Institute.
  • Supports the implementation of the Institute Human Resource Manual.
  • Supervises and appraises staff.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an honours Degree in either Human Resources Management, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Management and Organisational Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences and related field.
  • A post graduate Diploma in Human Resources / Management from a recognized Institute/ professional Institute or related field.
  • Experience of not less than four (4 years) in a relevant field in reputable organization.
  • Be a citizen of Uganda with a valid national identity card
  • Age: Not above 55 years
