HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATE

Job brief: We are looking for a qualified Human Resource Associate to lead a variety of human resource projects and provide fruitful human capital advice. You will help optimize everyday processes such as employee administration, as well as implement strategic HR plans and strategies.

The ideal HR Associate will possess in-depth knowledge of human resource management. They will have experience in consulting as well as dealing with actual Human Resource issues. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

The goal is to maximize the value of our clients Human Resource endeavors that will help their business as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Lead human resource programs and projects
  • Conduct research through various methods (data collection, surveys etc.) to identify a problematic situation or find the cause
  • Provide advice and recommendations for resolution of clients HR issues
  • Formulate strategic and practical plans to address human resource matters
  • Devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture management
  • Assist in the development and integration of policies for clients
  • Help establish control systems for compliance with business methods and HR practices and policies
  • Review systems and processes and make modifications to address issues
  • Refurbish knowledge of advancements in the field and present new ideas
  • Consult with line management and provide regular HR guidance
  • Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning
  • Identify training needs for teams and individuals
  • Evaluate training programs
  • Suggest new HR strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience as in Human Resources
  • Experience in project management preferably HR related
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of human resource IT (Sage, Payroll etc.)
  • Ability to strategize and formulate business plans
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
  • A team player
  • BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field will be a plus
  • Registered member of ZIHRM
  • Working knowledge of Zambia Labour Laws
