ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Job Purpose:

Supporting the finance department, Accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.

MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receiving and Receipting Cash from clients for Loan repayments.
  • Posting all transactions for Receipts and payments in the system
  • Assisting in Budgeting
  • Managing Company ledgers in the system
  • Preparation of Payment Vouchers for payments and ensuring all attachments are in place (Processing Expenses).
  • Completing Bank Reconciliations monthly
  • Disburse Loans to clients
  • Assist In Preparation of Month end Repayment schedules to be submitted to the bank for recoveries
  • Verifying bank deposits
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
  • Ensure Proper documentation is completed and good record keeping is in place
  • Verifying Customer balances and rectifying discrepancies
  • To handle customers concerns and complaints with optimum professionalism;
  • Prepare and submit Daily Reports to the Company Accountant and CEO.
  • Completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.
  • Any other Duties assigned by the Supervisor

RQUIREMENTS

  • Grade twelve school certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent
  • Diploma in Accountancy ,Business Administration and any other Related courses
  • At-least two years work experience in the relevant field
  • Excellent computer skills in excel

  • Ability to provide feedback on a frequent basis to supervisor.
