GENERAL MANAGER Full-time Job

Woodland Designs (Pty) Ltd: Requires a capable, stable and energetic General Manager, with proven ability to work as part of a team.

Duties include overall management of the administration and operations of the business, including employing suitable staff, development of the operations, marketing, and PR. Specifically:

Communicating with clients to determine job specifications and deadlines.
Furniture manufacture and restoration.
Estimate and purchase tools, materials, equipment, and supplies.
Prepare job estimates, quotations, and invoices.
All administrative correspondence.
Assigning and explaining tasks to the team.
Supervision of work to ensure safety and quality performance..
Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
Excellent time management skills.
Effective communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a management position and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a woodworker. Minimum qualifications of BGCSE/Form 5 and a certificate/diploma in management are required. Strong communication and people management skills are a must. Please provide traceable references.
