The purpose of this consultancy work is to support three women owned/led enterprises who are competent, eligible and qualified and who are willing to co-invest and to innovate with ADDA to enhance the functioning of the key market systems targeting the sunflower oil processing enterprises as an entry point.
Women sunflower processors have been facing various challenges to enable them expand their business in the market. Most small processors (especial women) are facing the challenge of getting proper market of their product that will enable them to grow. In addition the processors have no or poor Product Branding, Labelling and good packaging materials.
The objective is to support the processors to acquire product marketing, branding, well labelling and good packaging materials.
Conduct assessment on the business potential on marketing, branding, labelling and packaging to the three women processors to identify the gaps and weakness that are facing their business to grow and compete in the market.
Provide clear analysis of gaps identified during assessment and facilitate the development of action plans with the processors to address the challenges.
Provide training and follow up visits to facilitate processors to acquire Product Branding, Labelling and Marketing
Support the three processors to establish good packaging materials, well branded and labelled sunflower oil product
Clear branding strategies (determined the purpose of products and the specific market it’s best suited for) to distinguish the products from the 3 processors from other similar products for the competition in order to sell more products.
Facilitate simple research and analysis from the audience and the market of similar products so as to make clear for the business to understand the audience and create more efficient product branding.
Create visual elements that suits the products based on research of the targeted audience, the product (Oil) and competitors. Such as name, the logo, the color and the packaging that will brand the product.
Work closely with the processors and other related government institutions on designing three labels (1 per each processor) to their products to bring identification in the market.
In cooperation with SIDO/TBS agree on the product's information to be written in the label.
In accordance with the market needs, suggest or select the various proper packaging sizes in cooperation with the processors.
Product packaging covers the brand colors, logo, material, and shape of the package
Work closely with the processors to develop the overall processor’s market strategy and Marketing plan to be in place. The marketing strategy has to carry a clear, consistent and powerful message on the key areas like sales, pricing and competition with other edible oils etc.
Facilitate the 3 processors in obtaining good market of their products in the country of outside the country in order to maximize.
1. A well-written assessment report which shows
The three processors gaps or key things in marketing, branding, labeling and packaging that have potential for the business to grow from the current stage to another.
Action plan to address the gaps and weakness identified described by type of each gap including the processors views.
2. Systematic Training Report to the three processors based on the gaps identified to create awareness and knowledge on the marketing, branding, labeling and Packaging.
3. To develop the overall processor’s market strategy and Marketing plan to be in place. The marketing strategy has to carry a clear, consistent and powerful message on the key areas like sales, pricing and competition with other edible oils etc.
4. Develop and share the appropriate tools and Manual for internal use of organization in the future
5. Share the skills to ADDA staffs.
A firm must have at least the following
A consultancy with a Bachelor/Master degree in business, economics, finance, marketing
At least 5 years of experience in establishing marketing, labelling, branding and packaging for small enterprise
Familiar in analysing various information that enable to developing market strategies that are suitable for SMEs.
Capability to develop tools to assess the processors and the market need in general.
The ability to undertake the proper assessment and finding to enable the organization be in line with market system.
Strong capacity to provide reports, Feedback or Summary whatever required by the organization which is based on actual finding and evidence.
