Clinical Technician (Mental) Full-time Job

The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Neno District Council.

JOB TITLE: CLINICAL TECHNICIAN (MENTAL)
GRADE : HK/M9

DUTIES:

1. Screening patients on mental and physically illness and prescribing treatment for mentally ill patients.
2. Providing psychotherapy/ counseling on patients and monitoring progress of recovery.
3. Diagnosing patients problems and prescribing treatment;
4. Rehabilitating patients to install lost skills;
5. Advising management on psychiatric issues & counselling communities on mental health problems and how to handle them.
6. Any other duties deemed reasonable for the post.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Clinical psychiatry from a recognized institution and be registered with the Medical Council.
