Claims Officer Full-time Job

Overview

NICO General, a leading general insurance company in Malawi, invites applications
from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following three vacant positions tenable at its
headquarters in Blantyre and at its Regional Offices in Lilongwe and Mzuzu:

CLAIMS OFFICER – LOCATION BLANTYRE

Key Responsibilities
Among other duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Carrying out efficient claims service for excellent customer experience.
• Carrying out the provisions of the Claims Strategy and Claims policy
• Identifying early on valid and invalid claims by analysing terms and conditions of insurance policy
• Strict compliance with provisions of Claims Management Directive
• Scrutinizing and vetting of repair quotations
• Timely registration of new claims with accurate reserve and timely updating of reserves
• Regular updating customer on status of claim process
• Ensuring adherence to tumaround times as per Claims value chain requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) and one year’s experience in Claims handling or in a similar or related environment
• Those with First Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent will also be considered
