MP Mining is a mining company that owns Kopano Copper Mine, located in the North-Eastern part of Botswana off Mosetse and Dukwi Villages. The Company is currently looking for results-driven, agile, and suitably qualified individuals to fill the below positions:

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
MP Mining is a growing company, and we need someone to be the right-hand person to our Directors. We’re searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry.

Key Performance Areas

Collaborate with Shareholders and Directors in setting and driving organizational vision and strategy
Oversee the implementation of the strategy
Analyse internal operations and implement strategies for continuous growth
Drive the implementation of business and financial strategies and plans that align with overall organizational strategy
In collaboration with shareholders, manage all capital investments and operational capital to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
Monitor overall company performance with tracking software and ensures corrective action is taken where and when necessary
Build and maintain trusting relationships with Shareholders, investors, and key customers

Minimum Requirement:

BA in Management with an emphasis in International Business & Media Communications or equivalent
Technical and Financial Appraisals of Mineral Projects
Ten or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
International business experience and financial management experience
